Direct Flights Return: Sydney to Sapporo (CTS) 2025/26 and Beyond
Following a successful return to the route, Qantas has confirmed its direct seasonal service between Sydney (SYD) and Sapporo’s New Chitose Airport (CTS). Running from December 15, 2025, through March 28, 2026, this non-stop link removes the need for a Tokyo transfer, cutting travel time to approximately 10 hours and 50 minutes.
For the upcoming winter, flights will operate three times weekly (Monday, Wednesday, Saturday). Looking further ahead, Qantas has already announced plans to increase frequency to up to five flights per week for the 2026/27 season, signaling massive confidence in the sustained demand for Hokkaido’s powder snow.
