Japan Borders Officially Open
It's official - Japan borders open from October 11th
Japan Prime Minister Kishida San has announced that Japan will re-open to independent travellers from October 11th without need for visas and other previous hoops to jump through!
We are so excited to welcome you back and this is the best news we’ve had in over 2 years!
We also know there is about to be a frenzy of people trying to get here, so if you want a piece of the powder - you must book your flights and secure your accommodation ASAP!

What We Know
Currently Kishida and reputable news sources have confirmed the below:
- No Visa Required.
- No ERFS System Required..
- Not required to book through travel agent.
- Need to be triple vaccinated.
- If not triple vaxxed - Need proof of negative PCR test 72 hours prior to travel.
- Daily arrival caps to lifted.
*Note: There are still a limited number of countries that Japan will still have restrictions in place- details to be announced soon on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Website.

What We Don't Know
Though it is now confirmed borders will open - the official process has not yet been outlined, and still a few little details to work out, like if the My SOS tracking app will still be needed, or what level of travel insurance is required etc.
